Who is Planora for?

Whether you're redesigning a room, working with clients, or just trying out new ideas — Planora works for homeowners, designers, architects, families, and anyone who thinks better with their hands. It also makes a great gift.

Is it worth the price?

There's no learning curve — you open the box and start planning. No software to figure out, no tutorials to watch. If you're in the middle of a renovation or move and want to think things through before the professionals get involved, Planora gives you a way to do that on your own first. And if you are a professional — it's one of the better tools for working through ideas with clients around a table. For the scale of most home projects, it's a small investment - and reusable for the next.

How do I get started?

Lay out your grid boards and start placing pieces. A natural starting point is building the walls first, then adding windows, doors, and furniture.

What is the difference between the planners and add-ons?

Each product is built around a different use — the Room Planner for interiors, the Garden Planner for outdoor spaces, and the add-ons for extending any layout.

What does 1/4" = 1' scale mean?

It means 1/4 inch on the board represents 1 foot in real life — the standard US architectural scale.

Can I use my own floor plan?

Yes. Print or draw your floor plan to 1/4" = 1' scale and place the pieces directly on top.

What is the surface area of a gridboard?

Each gridboard represents 1,320 square feet (30 ft × 44 ft) at 1/4" = 1' scale. Every kit includes two gridboards.

Can I get replacement pieces?

Yes — email info@planorashop.com and we'll do our best to help.

Is 1/8" = 1' scale available?

Not currently — our kits are designed at 1/4" = 1' scale.

How do the pieces stay in place?

The planners, grid boards and add-ons all have a built-in magnetic function.

Het plaatsen van de muren is een enorm gepriegel. Voordat je je plattegrond hebt vastgezet op het grid ben je uren verder en het blijft dan rommelig. De losse meubelstukken zijn handiger te gebruiken op een papieren plattegrond.
Best weinig meubels en onderdelen in de Room Planner. Ik vind het tegenvallen want de prijs is hoog.

I was however a little disappointed with the descriptions of each pack as it doesn't clearly outlined what is included in each. I would have purchased an extra package in this case.

Idee gut, Umsetzung eher billig

Für den Preis nicht hochwertig genug. Einzelne Wände sind beim rauslösen gebrochen, festkleben funktionierten leidlich aber damit geht die Möglichkeit verloren etwas zu ändern. Eine Lochplatte mit Stecksystem würde hier besser funktionieren.

Ansonsten sind im Starterset deutlich zu wenigMöbel (insbesondere Regale).

Hello, i think the kits are amazing, the only thing is I ordered the trio thinking I would get 3 different kits and got 3 of the same. Could we rectify this somehow.
